Overview and Acceptance

Eligibility and Authority

• Age and legal capacity. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use iAMSLP.
• Use on behalf of an organization. If you access or use iAMSLP on behalf of an employer, healthcare organization, educational institution, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on that entity’s behalf.
• Professional and educational use. iAMSLP is designed primarily for professional and educational use and is not intended to serve as a patient portal or consumer medical-advice service.

Educational Purpose and Scope

• Educational purpose. iAMSLP is an educational platform designed to support professional learning, advanced clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and application in complex clinical practice.
• Not medical advice. Educational content, clinical cases, frameworks, assessments, references, downloadable tools, and Ask the Expert content are provided for educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment directives, patient-specific recommendations, or a substitute for formal clinical supervision.
• Professional responsibility. Users remain responsible for exercising independent professional judgment and practicing within their professional scope, applicable laws and regulations, institutional policies and procedures, and current standards of care.
• No clinician-patient or supervisory relationship. Access to or use of iAMSLP, including Ask the Expert, does not create a clinician-patient relationship, supervisory relationship, consulting relationship, or other professional-care relationship between iAMSLP, its owners, contributors, reviewers, experts, or service providers and any patient or other individual.
• Not for emergency or time-sensitive care. iAMSLP is not intended for emergency, urgent, or time-sensitive patient-care decisions. Users should rely on appropriate clinical resources, institutional procedures, and emergency services when immediate patient care is required.
• Professional credentials and continuing education. Use of iAMSLP does not by itself constitute certification, credentialing, competency validation, licensure qualification, or completion of employer-required training.

Patient Information, Privacy, and PHI

• No PHI storage. iAMSLP is not intended for the storage or submission of patient-identifiable information or protected health information (PHI).
• Do not submit identifying information. Users must not enter patient names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, identifying photographs, contact information, account numbers, unique identifiers, or other information that could reasonably identify an individual patient into Ask the Expert, notebooks, feedback fields, case discussions, or other areas of the Platform.
• User responsibility. Users are responsible for ensuring that any clinical information they submit is appropriately de-identified, permitted to be shared, and consistent with applicable law, professional responsibilities, employer requirements, and institutional policies.
• No Business Associate relationship. Unless iAMSLP expressly agrees otherwise in a separate written agreement, users must not use the Platform to create, receive, maintain, or transmit PHI in circumstances requiring a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement or another specialized healthcare-data agreement.
• A user’s improper submission of patient-identifiable information or PHI does not change the intended educational nature of the Platform. iAMSLP may remove, restrict access to, or take other appropriate action concerning information that appears to violate this section.

AI-Assisted Development

• AI-supported workflows. iAMSLP may use artificial intelligence tools to support internal research organization, drafting, editing, content-development workflows, and other operational functions.
• Human review required. AI-generated material is not published as clinical education without human review.
• Clinical oversight. Published clinical content is developed and directed by a clinician and undergoes human review, editing, and evidence verification, with additional clinical or interdisciplinary peer review where applicable.
• AI tools do not replace clinician judgment, evidence review, or human editorial oversight in the development of iAMSLP educational content.

Account Responsibilities

• Account security. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for activity occurring through their accounts.
• Accurate information and appropriate use. Users agree to provide accurate account information and to use iAMSLP in a lawful, ethical, and professional manner.
• No account sharing. Individual accounts may not be shared with unauthorized users.
• Suspension or termination. iAMSLP may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of misuse, unauthorized activity, security concerns, intellectual-property violations, violations of these Terms, or conduct that threatens the integrity or operation of the Platform.
• Unauthorized access. Users should promptly notify iAMSLP if they become aware of unauthorized access to or use of their account.
• Effect of suspension or termination. Suspension or termination may result in loss of access to Platform features, account-restricted content, or user-submitted information.
• Certain provisions of these Terms that by their nature should continue after access ends—including intellectual-property protections, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related provisions—will continue to apply.

Intellectual Property and Permitted Use

• Ownership. Unless otherwise stated, iAMSLP content and materials—including educational content, original frameworks and models, clinical cases, assessments, downloadable tools, graphics, written materials, learning resources, and other proprietary content—are owned by or licensed to iAMSLP and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
• No transfer of ownership. Access to iAMSLP does not transfer ownership of Platform content or intellectual property to the user.
• Permitted use. Unless expressly permitted otherwise, content is provided for the user’s individual educational and professional use.
• Unless expressly authorized in writing, users may not: reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit protected iAMSLP content; systematically copy, scrape, extract, or compile Platform content; share account-restricted materials with unauthorized users; remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, or proprietary notices; use protected iAMSLP materials to create, train, populate, or substantially reproduce competing educational products or services; use automated systems, bots, crawlers, or similar technologies to access or extract Platform content except where expressly authorized by iAMSLP; or circumvent or attempt to circumvent access restrictions, security mechanisms, usage limitations, or technological protections associated with the Platform.
• Downloadable resources. Downloadable materials may be used only according to the permissions provided with those resources.

User-Submitted Content

• Ownership and responsibility. Users retain ownership of information, questions, feedback, notes, files, or other content they submit through the Platform ("User Content"), subject to any rights held by third parties. Users remain responsible for their User Content and represent that they have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it.
• Permission to use User Content. By submitting User Content, users grant iAMSLP a nonexclusive license to process, reproduce, store, transmit, display, and otherwise use that information only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, administer, troubleshoot, and improve the Platform and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.
• Prohibited content. Users must not submit confidential, proprietary, patient-identifiable, unlawful, infringing, or other information they do not have the right to share.
• Feedback and suggestions. If users voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, feature requests, or general feedback about iAMSLP, iAMSLP may use that feedback to evaluate, develop, or improve the Platform without creating an obligation to compensate the user. Any associated personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
• Account deletion and retention. Deletion of an account may result in deletion of or loss of access to User Content, subject to applicable backup, security, legal, regulatory, and record-retention requirements described in the Privacy Policy.

Ask the Expert

• Educational purpose. Ask the Expert is an educational feature intended to support advanced clinical learning and reasoning.
• Not patient-specific consultation. Responses are provided for educational purposes only and do not constitute patient-specific consultation, medical advice, formal supervision, or directives regarding the care of an individual patient.
• De-identification required. Users should submit questions in a de-identified manner and remain responsible for independent clinical judgment and application within their scope of practice and clinical environment.
• Limitations. Ask the Expert responses may not address every relevant fact, alternative, contraindication, institutional requirement, or emerging development associated with an individual clinical situation.
• Independent verification. Users should independently verify information they intend to apply in professional practice against current evidence, applicable professional standards, institutional requirements, and other appropriate clinical resources.

Beta Testing

• Beta status. iAMSLP is currently being provided as a beta platform for evaluation and testing.
• Platform changes. During beta, features, content, functionality, navigation, and availability may change. Certain features may be incomplete, modified, temporarily unavailable, or removed as the Platform is evaluated and refined.
• Feedback. Beta participants are encouraged to report usability issues, technical problems, content concerns, and other feedback through the designated feedback process. Feedback may be used to evaluate, improve, and further develop iAMSLP.
• Beta access. Beta access is provided without charge and does not guarantee continued availability of any specific feature, resource, functionality, or future pricing.
• Participation requirements. Beta participants remain subject to any separate confidentiality, nondisclosure, or participation requirements applicable to beta testing.

Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

• Free beta access. Beta access is currently provided at no charge and will not automatically convert to a paid subscription.
• Future paid services. iAMSLP may offer paid products or services after beta. Applicable pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, refund, and other material purchase terms will be disclosed before enrollment or purchase.
• No automatic charges. No beta participant will be charged without separate notice and affirmative authorization.

Third-Party Services, Resources, and Links

• Third-party services. iAMSLP may provide links to or use third-party services that support the Platform, including websites, publications, authentication services, videos, educational resources, and software tools.
• Independent terms and practices. Third-party services operate independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, and availability.
• No endorsement. Unless expressly stated otherwise, providing access to or linking to a third-party resource does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by iAMSLP.
• Third-party responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, iAMSLP is not responsible for the independent content, availability, security practices, or other practices of third-party services.

Platform Availability and Disclaimer

• Platform availability. iAMSLP is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
• No guarantee of uninterrupted access. iAMSLP does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every device or system, or that Platform content will address every clinical circumstance.
• No guaranteed outcomes. Nothing within iAMSLP should be interpreted as a guarantee of clinical competence, professional performance, patient outcomes, examination or licensure results, or specific educational outcomes.
• Disclaimer of warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, iAMSLP disclaims warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, and reliability.
• Applicable-law limitations. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some exclusions may not apply to every user.

Limitation of Liability

• Limitation of damages. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, iAMSLP, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and authorized service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar damages arising from or related to access to, use of, or inability to use the Platform.
• Professional responsibility. iAMSLP is an educational platform. Users remain responsible for their own professional judgment, clinical decisions, actions, scope of practice, and compliance with applicable laws, professional standards, and organizational policies.
• Beta limitations. During beta, users acknowledge that the Platform is still being evaluated and refined and that features, content, or functionality may contain errors, change, or become temporarily unavailable.
• Applicable-law limitations. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

Copyright and Intellectual Property Infringement Notice

• Respect for intellectual-property rights. iAMSLP respects copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
• Reporting a concern. If you believe material available through the Platform infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, please contact iAMSLP and provide enough information to identify the protected work and the material you believe is infringing.
• Review and response. iAMSLP may review the concern and, where appropriate, remove or restrict access to material reasonably believed to infringe intellectual-property rights.

Privacy

• Privacy Policy. Use of iAMSLP is also subject to the iAMSLP Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, protected, retained, disclosed, and managed.
• Review before use. Users should review the Privacy Policy before using the Platform.
• Relationship to these Terms. Where the Privacy Policy and these Terms address different subjects, each applies to its respective subject. Any additional privacy notices, rights, or consent requirements required by applicable law will also apply.

Changes to These Terms

• Updates to the Terms. iAMSLP may update these Terms as the Platform, services, legal requirements, or business operations evolve.
• Notice of changes. The current version and Last Updated date will be posted on the Platform. If material changes are made during beta, participants will be notified through the Platform, by email, or another reasonable method.
• Acceptance of revised Terms. Where required by applicable law or appropriate based on the nature of the change, users may be asked to accept the revised Terms before continuing to use the Platform.
• Continued use. Continued use of the Platform after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

• Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to the Platform will be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
• Venue. Any legal proceeding arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Cobb County, Georgia, unless applicable law requires another forum.
• Future dispute-resolution terms. Additional dispute-resolution provisions, including arbitration or class-action waiver terms, may be considered and added following legal review before commercial launch.

General Terms

• Entire Agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any separate beta participation, confidentiality, or nondisclosure agreement applicable to the user constitute the agreement between the user and iAMSLP concerning beta access to the Platform.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• No Waiver. If iAMSLP does not enforce a provision of these Terms at one time, that does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.
• Relationship of the Parties. Use of iAMSLP does not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, fiduciary, supervisory, or professional-care relationship between the user and iAMSLP.
• Circumstances Beyond Our Control. To the extent permitted by law, iAMSLP will not be responsible for delays or service interruptions caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including significant internet outages, failures of essential third-party services, natural disasters, government actions, or similar events.
• Headings. Section headings are included for convenience and do not change the meaning of these Terms.
• Survival. Provisions that by their nature should continue after a user’s access ends—including intellectual-property protections, confidentiality obligations where applicable, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related provisions—will continue to apply after termination of access.
